About Tensor Boekhouders

Before Tensor Boekhouders existed, I was a freelancer myself. I loved it: the freedom, the possibilities. It just came with a lot more admin than being on a payroll.

What I was looking for was simple, really. I wanted my bookkeeping and tax filings taken off my hands, to not pay unnecessary tax, to be able to talk things through with an expert whenever I needed to — all at a reasonable price. To my surprise, that didn’t exist. Software read my receipts just fine, but it didn’t help me with deductions, compliance or advice. My bookkeeper did help with all of that, but did so much by hand that it became slow, expensive and error-prone.

I soon noticed I wasn’t alone: I heard this same story from almost every freelancer in my network. At the same time, my work in tech showed me it can be done. Developments in automation and AI are moving so fast that you no longer have to make that choice.

That’s why I started Tensor Boekhouders: a modern accounting firm with its own AI-native platform. Every administrative process is automated, which gives our bookkeepers time for the human work: thinking along, advising, and being reachable when you need them.
